Going hand in hand with change management, organisational development is an important concept for business leaders to embrace as structural hierarchies flatten and reorganise themselves. Organisational development could be described as the measures taken to prepare the business for disruption through emergent technologies and decentralisation of teams through remote working. That there is not one accepted definition underlines the complexity of the concept and the many different ways businesses are affected.
