Home Computing initiative

default-16x9

I read exclusively positive reporting on this scheme.

Has anyone experienced challenges when introducing the Home Computing Initiative?

Thanks

  1. HCI
I am currently trying to introduce HCI and my opposition is coming from the Board. They are concerned about getting tied up in leasing and HP agreements.

We are outsourcing the HCI scheme and the company we are using have been very helpful.

When we sort the views of employees some came back and asked if there was an option for AMD Chiped machines and they have sorted those into the deal.

They have also provided me with the wording for a briefing paper for the board.

The people we are talking to are IT Through Work Ltd. http://www.ittw.net

We have found them very helpful and more importantly paintence as it has taken some months to get the employees to confirm that tyhey want a scheme and the board to agree for a paper to be submitted to our next board meeting.

We also set up the HCI with IT Through Work and found them very good until we got to setting up the administrative aspects of the scheme ie placing the orders and sourcing the kit that had been selected. But more importantly, we were unable to change the wording of the Credit Agreement which employees have to sign and I did not feel it was sufficiently tightly worded to enable us to recover outstanding sums in the event of the employee leaving. We therefore created an additional agreement which enables us to deduct outstanding sums from final salary payments or which tied the employee into agreeing to pay the balance by other means. Other than that it has been very low maintenance. I’m happy to share our additional agreement with anyone who wants it.
