    The first difficulty in quantifying performance and represent it on a curve is on the mathematical reliability of the evaluation procedures, subject to various criteria, for being carried by different people.

    The sucess or failure is dependent not only on the professional capacities and the outcome figures but from numerous factors that are "outside the spread sheet".

    In the end all tentatives of express the perfomance with some mathematic model should leave some space to more in depth evaluation from the superior. The value of this more in depth evaluation, combined with some parametric model can vary from company to company but the two must exist in harmony.
