Job Instruction Exercises

Does anyone have any fun Job Instruction Exercises.
I have used Tennis Shoe Alien before, but am now looking for alternatives.

The idea being to get the dlegates to thinka bout how they would instruct someone in a task who has no knowledge/experience at all.

I am happy to swap other material so please let me know if you can help.

  1. Step by Step
Alongside my IT Training courses I have run Train the Trainer for in-depth subject trainers and I have a couple of exercises which they have to break down into stepbystep instructions so that ANYONE can follow them – topics I have used are: Making a cheese sandwich using an unsliced loaf (starts with assemble ingredients and implements – bread, butter, cheese, cutting board, bread knife, butter knife, cheese knife etc. Also making a bed – it makes them think anyway!

  2. Instructions Exercise
Don’t know about fun – but certainly the case study I designed last year raised a few smiles from the delegates, of the ‘it happens around here often’!
View a copy at – free trainer resources section (Management Skills) – entitled ‘Train the Trainer Exercise’
    Hope that helps. Happy Days!
