Learning leadership in tough times

Nigel Paine, former head of Learning and Development at the BBC, and a regular TrainingZone contributor, is leading a one-day open workshop for learning professionals in conjunction with the Learning and Skills Group. ‘Learning leadership in tough times’ will take place on 2nd July in west London.

Nigel left the BBC in September 2006 to start his own company, focused on creativity, innovation and learning. He works internationally with companies such as CISCO, Apple, First Third Bank, MacDonalds and Ritz Carlton. In 2006 he was the recipient of Elliott Masie’s Learning Thought Leader of the year award. The workshop aims to provide delegates with the tools to survive and thrive in today’s complex, volatile environment, including overcoming challenges such as:

  • rapid changes in policy and goals
  • tighter budgets combined with higher targets
  • constant pressure to innovate while still producing the basics
  • reduced security in a turbulent environment
  • reduced influence for L&D practitioners

Nigel will aim to provide fresh ideas and practical, proven strategies for excelling in this tough environment and building a successful future. The workshop culminates with delegates preparing a change plan for implementation back in the workplace.

Attendance at the workshop costs £495, but members of TrainingZone.co.uk receive a special 20% discount. Members of the Learning and Skills Group also receive a 20% discount. For more information, and to book, email [email protected]
