Mobile connection

I have a mobile and a laptop plus the cable to link them. How do I turn the mobile into a modem to get connected without a land line phone?

  1. Modem Phone?
Erm, you still need a modem, the telephone provides the connection, same as your landline, unless it states in the Telephone Instruction Manual that it can manage both jobs. Failing that, more hardware needed!

Although if the cable fits into the laptop maybe you already have a modem, since I can’t imagine where else it would fit.

So – maybe the question is the wrong one, or maybe I’m having a LSD flashback and I’m not even online. Is that a flying whale? Wow man.

By the way, when you do get connected, prepare for some signal interference and don’t try up/downloading large and crucial files.

    Luck

  2. Mobile connection
Andy, although your laptop may have a built-in modem, the best source of advice on this is your laptop supplier or manufacturer.
