New Rookie Trainer needs advise

default-16x9

can anyone advise how i can gain training experience in training, i have been on a train the training course and have developed and ran a personal effectiveness course for free. I did this to see if i was cut out to be a trainer. the course went very well and i felt so natural at presenting it, no nerves or anxiety at all. and the feed back was positive

any advise will be greatly appreciated

I would like to run basic IT lessons, It would be great to run train the trainer courses, along with personal development courses

  1. Becoming a trainer
I think you’ve made an excellent start too, so many people just find themselves in a training role before going on train-the-trainer!

If you’re looking to run IT courses you could approach some IT training companies to see if they have any vacancies either full-time or freelance.

Starting in a full-time role may be the best way forward as you get to work with other trainers daily and you can get a good feel for how to run a training function/business.

If you decide to go freelance be aware that it is a highly competitive market, also you will need to have your courses written and ready to deliver, then go out and find your clients.

  3. Try…
I’m not sure where you live, but you could try Happy Computers, they also practise accelerated learning and have a great energy about them. I don’t have any opportunities here – shame as I love your attitude!

    Good luck.

PS. I you ever decide you want to learn about accelerated learning check out our course sometime.

  4. TAP Course
    Congratulation on making the transition.

Just to add to the great advice included here already, I highly recommend the TAP course especially if you are focused on IT training. The methodology they suggest changes the way you look at training and increases your performance and that of delegates by many times.

Hope this helps and good luck.
