Hi, I am looking for a course on personal impact for a very senior manager. This needs to focus on how to really influence people, understand others and achieve results through others. Does anyone know a course they would recommend. Thanks

Katy, just a thought: would coaching be an appropriate option rather than training? Sometimes employees at this level benefit more from a one to one approach. Can this be considered?

Hemsley Fraser and the CMI run very effective events but I do agree with the comment that coaching would perhaps be a more appropriate option for a senior manager.

I have to say that I agree that in this instance Coaching would probably the best option for your Senior manager. I have delivered training and have coached individuals in this subject area and find that more senior individuals benefit from the more tailored approach that coaching gives. An open course would attract a wide range of individuals at differing levels and as such your manager may not have the opportunity to address all the areas pertinent to them. I also find that more can be achieved in a shorter space of time with coaching and therefore cost wise the two options are fairly similar.
