The Police Service’s foremost forum on learning methodologies and their associated technologies – the Policing Learning Technologies conference – takes place on 2 April.
This attracts leading learning experts from the Police and the wider community, with more than 12 speakers and 120 delegates expected for the day.
According to a conference spokesperson: "Learning methodologies and technologies are changing at an increasing rate, with wikis, forums and podcasts joining the increasingly well established world of e-learning. As learning organisations strive to deliver the best learning experiences and services, aligned to business objectives within ever tighter budgets, this is a conference that could reap huge rewards for your force.
"The 2008 conference will focus on enabling you to lead change, make the best use of new learning methodologies and select the technologies to deliver more effective and efficient training services within your complex environment."
The conference is designed for:
- Training professionals who deal with alternative learning methodologies and their associated technology
- Senior training professionals who are procuring technology
- HR professionals interested in how learning technologies can interface with talent management tools and
- IT professionals who work with learning departments on their requirements and technology strategies
It provides an opportunity to meet other forces, hear first hand from case studies, participate in workshops and learn how other forces have avoided pitfalls to provide first class training services.
The Conference will be held at the NPIA Ryton conference facility near Coventry on the 2 April.
