Soft Skills and Intercultural combination Training- Where is the UK at?

default-16x9

Could anyone tell me the current state and demand for trainers placed within companies who can train key soft skills for management and key personnel?

Furthermore, given the events of September the 11th in New York and Washington, is it not time to explore the intercultural dimension in more depth, given the need to communicate internationally, by understanding the background national and corporate mentalities of future trading partners, once the dust has (literally) settled?

I ask this as there seems to be a continuous running hot and cold on the issue, there seems to be no clear consensus on ther need for these vital communication activities even within one country, yet alone surveying the international requirements in a new light

I speak as a seasoned Intercultural soft skills and languages Trainer, previously active with fantastic students from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Taiwan, China, Korea, Japan Brazil and Mexico, and notice with dismay the continued low key and semi- enthusiastic response of many organisations within the Anglo-Saxon business community. Could any company representatives contact me and tell me that I am wrong? Like the CIA, who I as I understand, did not have enough Arabic speaking personnel or Arab culture specialists on the ground to monitor events?
