Soft Skills for Account Managers

Hi

I am in the process of putting togther a Modular programme for a group of Account Managers who are moving from a Reactive role to Proactive role. It is apparent the group needed a solid understanding of some of the softer skills required and I'm building a programme consisting of five 1/2 day sessions tackling the areas listed below. I want the training to be interactive with plenty of exercises and enjoyment.

I am looking for any ideas, exercises etc that could be used in the following sessions:

1) Communication Skills
a - Effective Verbal Communication (face to face)
b - Non-Verbal

2) Dealing with Difficult Customers

3) Negotiation Skills (Part 1)

4) Negotation Skills (Part 2)

I have asked to have Module 5 as a session to focussed on Commercial Acumen, with little more guidelines in place I would elcome any ideas on this session

    Hi Rob,

    I recently attended an event where the speaker (Duncan John) covered Human Givens. It was a very interesting couple of hours and the theories might be helpful wuith regards to the areas that require tackling.
