Stress Training

default-16x9

I have been asked to run basic stress workshops and need some training myself. Any ideas of good organisations that carry out this training.

Thanks

  2. Read any or all of David Lewis’s books
Read any of the books (on stress management, mental improvement, surviving information overload, etc.) or attend one of the training events by David Lewis, a British practice-oriented psychologist in UK. My recommendations are: One Minute Stress Management and/or Ten Minute Time & Stress Management by the author. His Information Overload book is most current, and has a few sections on stress management, which are worth reading in today’s context. If I recall correctly, he runs a “stress clinic” for organisations. I have enjoyed reading all his above-mentioned books and I have found his ideas very pragmatic and practical.

  3. Explore HeartMath Solution
Assuming you may want to go to USA, one of the foremost stress research/training institutes that I am aware of is the Institute of HeartMath, in USA. I would suggest, firstly, you get hold of and read any of Doc Lew Childre’s books, audios or videos. Some good examples are Freeze Frame (start with this one simple book), Cut Thru, The HeartMath Solution, HearthMath Discovery, and Freeze Frame Inner Fitness (video). I am a user of his Freeze Frame instant stress management method, which I find very useful and effective. You can learn to use it and/or teach it in minutes. His music compositions are also very enlightening. The author had also created books (and videos) for parents and children, from the perspectives of stress management and emotional development. They are all worth your exploration.
