I am getting ideas together for my final year project and i have a general theme that i would like to research further.

Team building theory and its application specifically in the construction industry. I would like to look at theories of Belbin, Katzenbach, Smith and Adair to name a few. I have a very vague idea as to the direction i want to go. I know that most project managers are likely to have some knowledge of team theory, but it still appears that many project teams fail to deliver the predicted outcomes. I want to find out if team theory is being applied sufficiently in the construction industry and if we can still learn and apply more from these theories.

I would appreciate any help in terms of narrowing down this research and the kind of books, journal articles i should look at.
