Training Policy

default-16x9

I am about to review our Training Policy/Strategy and would appreciate any examples of good practice. I am particularly interested in the governance arrangements such as:
entitlements for study leave
selection processes
evaluation mechanisms
resources
standards for training and the lifelong learning approach
training needs analysis approach

Any examples would be most welcome

  1. Trg Policy Guidance
This subject is dear to many Trg Managers hearts, and to some extent the Holy Grail of T&D. Although Trg Policy is very much organization specific there are some good resources available from Investors In People UK. They sell sofware which is cheap and useful as a starting point, idea generator. The key point to remember is to directly link your policy/plan to the overarching buisness plan, which in turn should allow you to evaluate your objectives in terms of buisness output. If you would like to see some of our examples please contact me outside this forum and I will e-mail them to you.

  2. Training Strategy
Lorna, not sure whether this is too late… I have just started to formulate HRD strategy for a company I have recently joined…if you are interested in meeting I am more than happy to share my progress to-date.

If you would like to call me on 01332-270670 ext 7140
