I am doing research ahead of MMT launching a B2B learning portal in 2001. I would like to know what peoples views are on portals and how long they think it will be before (if ever) people/companies start using them.

In response to your question people are using the sites and in greater numbers week after week. You yourself are using the site by posting this question.
As membership increases so do the revenue streams.
the areas of concern for you should be
attracting and retaining members
identifying potential revenue streams
impartial independent news/views
