What not to do when an employee resigns

The advanced technology, the internet revolution and so much more, the value of an employee is still the same as it was a decade ago.

There will be a particular point of time when a particular person will decide to leave in search better opportunities and career development.

So, employees who are on the verge of resignation is one of the biggest loss that a company can face. There is couple of ways a company shouldn’t act when their employees have resigned/ are on a verge of resignation, and in this article we will be talking about the same.

  1. A company shouldn’t take their course of action personally, one might assume that there employees don’t like the opportunities/environment provided and rather employees may be leaving for some personal reasons. Well, if a company takes it personally it would only harm its work efficiency and environment.
  2. A company won’t like their goodwill to go down when they personally warn the resigning employees, and if the employees outburst the whole scenario in public through social media and other ways it might just not do good for the company.
  3. An professional image in the public is the last thing a company would want, and it may get themselves a tag of unprofessionals by expressing relief publicly and rather a positive goodbye with a gift can leave a long lasting memory for the employee and a positive image of the company in public.
  4. Diplomacy is crucial when it comes to manage or handle employees at the workplace. Even the most complex situations can be handled effectively & cautiously by playing politics with the employees in the workplace.
  5. There are some strict "no's" & "don'ts m" when it comes to employees who work in the office, which are a must not at all costs in any situations. Politeness or the act of being polite vehemently increases the chances of befriending your employees. These things ensure not only the recruitment process, but also Foster things effectively like job experience, reputation, etc.

Conclusion –

The company needs to take a deep breath and find out the cause of an employee or group resigning from the company, and if it does so, it won’t hamper its own goodwill and as well as not create problems. The company will then improve its work efficiency and will have a posititve environement.
